The Guides

Go
ALAN
worked as a town planner across the UK, concentrating in recent years on the development of Truro. He has strong connections with Denmark: his wife is Danish, so he speaks the language. He supports green policies, has an allotment and is a member of Greenpeace. He's a keen chess player, too. Alan is continually researching and hunting for new snippets of information, discovering the most surprising facts and legends about Cornwall and the area covered by Hidden Cornwall.

STEVE
is a geographer, geologist and also teaches archaeology. His interests are mineral collecting, meteorology, coastal land forms and local history. He has led walks for the Falmouth-Fowey countryside service. Steve plays village cricket and a variety of other sports in Cornwall, and speaks French and German. He’s a keen sea swimmer and delights in impressing visitors in October with his exploits in the sea.
