BODRUGAN
|
This 17th century complex is centred around a courtyard
on a site mentioned in the Domesday Book, run by a hospitable third generation
Cornish farming family and featured in Alistair Sawday's Special Places
to Stay in Britain. Evening meals are available in the splendid dining
room with home produced ingredients. A swimming pool, sauna and games
room are available for guests. A short walk brings you to the secluded
Colona Beach, ideal for a swim and even nearer is the Rising Sun pub in
the village of Portmellon. Mevagissey is about a mile away. In a historic
barn conversion just completed there are 5 single and 1 double rooms all
ensuite. In the farmhouse itself there is an ensuite double, one double
and one twin both with private bathroom.

SEAPOINT HOUSE
|
We use a number of hotels in Mevagissey such as the Seapoint
(pictured), Spa, Tremarne and Valley Park. Guests here have the advantage
of being in the centre of an attractive small fishing town with a good
range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Boat trips, deep sea fishing and
boat hire are all available from the harbour. Bathing beaches nearby.
In Truro our guests have stayed at the Carlton Hotel a short walk from the biggest concentration of shops, restaurants and pubs in the county. Truro has a cathedral, concert hall and multi screen cinema. |
